Q: How do I register for the NSSEA Network?
A: Click here to sign up. You will be required to login with your company id to gain access to the form.
Q: What should I use as my username?
A: To help us control spam on the bulletin board, please use your first and last name for your username. All one-word usernames will be deleted from the Network.
Q: How do I view the Forum?
A: Click on “Forum” in the menu bar at the top of the page. Then choose a subject heading.
Q: How do I add my photo to my profile?
A: Click the LOGIN button; click PROFILE; click MODIFY; confirm password; click OPTIONS; enter the URL of your photo in the "I have my own pic:" section
Q: How do I start a new topic?
A: After you have registered an account, you will have the ability to start new topics. To do so, navigate to GENERAL BOARD category. Once you're inside the GENERAL BOARD category, search for a link or button titled "Start New Topic" and click it. This button is near the top of the list of topics.
Q: What should I do if I see an inappropriate posting?
A: If you see an inappropriate posting on the bulletin please send an email to Michael Friend at mfriend@nssea.org. Your cooperation will assist us in removing unsuitable postings in a timely fashion.
Q: What is the NSSEA?
A: The NSSEA is the National School Supply & Equipment Association, the premier trade association for suppliers and distributors of educational products. Please visit www.nssea.org for more information, including how to join.
Q: What is the NSSEA Network?
A: The NSSEA Network is a central resource for NSSEA members to communicate with each other on industry-related topics. The NSSEA Network provides forums, groups, events, pictures, RSS feeds, and other dynamic web content to its users.
Q: Who can join the NSSEA Network?
A: Only active members of the NSSEA are allowed to join. Membership will be verified when a Network membership request is received.
Q: How do I retrieve or reset my NSSEA Network username and password?
A: Please use the built-in password retrieval system. NSSEA Customer Service operators do not have access to NSSEA Network passwords.
Q: How do I turn on/off email updates from the NSSEA Network?
A: Visit this page in your Profile Settings and click the appropriate boxes. The box at the very bottom is a one-click "off switch."
Q: Can I add my own content to the page?
A: Yes! Members can create their own events and photo albums. All uploaded content will be approved by the administrators before it is posted to the site.
Site Policies/Terms of Use
- The NSSEA Network is intended solely for communication and networking by NSSEA members.
- If an organization's membership lapses, then all individuals associated with that organization will be restricted from posting to the site.
- This site is primarily intended for industry-related information and communication. Off-topic posts may be deleted without notice.
- Profanity and obscenity of any kind is prohibited. Any material deemed inappropriate by the administrators will be deleted.
- Any abuse of the site, including spamming, fraud, or other abuse, will result in immediate and permanent banning of the associated user account. The NSSEA reserves the right to ban any member without notice.
- The NSSEA does not endorse the viewpoints and opinions expressed through user-generated content on the site.
