A Supplier is a business that produces and/or supplies
products and sells them to dealers for resale to consumers. This category
includes manufacturers, content publishers, importers, and wholesale
suppliers. A Supplier membership is required to exhibit at any of
NSSEA's trade events. Member Suppliers receive significant discounts
on booth fees. (Joining as a dealer would require your company to
exhibit as nonmember supplier; member dealers do not receive the discount
on booth fees.)
A Dealer is a business that buys multiple product
lines from suppliers/publishers and resells them to schools/consumers
through a sales force, retail store, or mail order (phone/catalog/online).
A Service Provider is a business that offers a
service or product to promote/improve business in the educational
products industry. This category includes catalog printers, consultants,
trade publishers, inventory/POS software system providers, mail list
brokers, retail fixture manufacturers, and online service providers.
An Independent Manufacturers Representative is
an independent commissioned agent that represents two or more suppliers
in selling products to dealers, with orders written in the name of
the supplier.
