Ambassador Program

Share Your Experience

Know someone who can benefit form membership in NSSEA? Why not do them, the Association, and yourself a favor by sharing an insider’s knowledge of the value of NSSEA? The most effective way to build a strong industry is by recommending NSSEA to companies serving the education market. Through the NSSEA Ambassador Program, you too can help contribute to this growth by encouraging your fellow nonmember industry dealers, suppliers, and reps to share the advantages you’ve gained through NSSEA membership and help your Association grow and your industry prosper.

How it Works

Share with your colleagues the benefits of becoming a part of the NSSEA community and encourage them to join between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012. In order to participate, your company membership must be a current NSSEA member. Also, make sure the company you recruit writes your company name on the designated area of the appropriate membership application forms. NSSEA staff will take care of the rest.

Recruiting Made Easy

We’re here to help! Simply complete the Member Referral Form to get started.

Upon submitting this form, NSSEA will automatically send the prospective member an invitation letter which identifies you as their NSSEA Ambassador. In addition, we also supply you with necessary membership recruitment materials via email and by mail (mail only upon request) for you to distribute as follow-up, which includes:

  • Access to the sample invitation letter
  • NSSEA Member Services brochure
  • Custom NSSEA membership application

NOTE: Each referral that is converted to a new NSSEA membership within 90 days of the initial referral submitted date will count as one (1) point for the Ambassador.

Here are six easy steps to ensure your success in the program:

  1. When you receive a call, speak with a contact in-person, or get an email, check to see if that company is a member or nonmember by searching the NSSEA Online Membership Directory.
  2. If your contact is a nonmember, tell him/her how your NSSEA membership has benefited you.
  3. Ask if you can have the NSSEA Membership Department send them an invitation packet on the benefits of NSSEA membership and complete the Member Referral Form to get this process started.
  4. Follow-up to see if your prospective member has submitted his/her application. Be sure to give prospective members an application with YOUR company name as the referred by section of the application via the membership recruitment materials supplied by NSSEA. Your company name MUST be on the application in order for us to credit you.

Rewards Program

Current member companies who recruit new members will receive the reward based on the total number of points they accumulate that corresponds to their membership category for upon the conclusion of this campaign. Rewards for each point value are as follows:

Rules & Requirements

  • Ambassadors must be active NSSEA members at the time both the referral and redemption.
  • Qualifying nonmember companies for referral must not have been an active member of NSSEA within the 12 months.
  • All nonmember companies must join between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012 in order to be counted toward this recruitment campaign.
  • If two Ambassadors refer the same Prospect who then becomes a member, the conversion will count for the first Ambassador to submit Member Referral Form.
  • All prizes for top recruiters will be distributed in January 2013.
  • Free membership/registrations to NSSEA are transferable.
  • Ambassador companies will be instructed to consult the most current online membership directory in order to determine whether the company they refer is already a member or not. Note: the online directory is preferred, as it provides the most current information.
  • The Prospect must join NSSEA as a member and pay all dues and fees within 90 days of the initial referral for the Ambassador to receive credit for a conversion.
  • Ambassadors will receive quarterly monthly updates regarding their progress in the Ambassador Program.
  • Program rules and prizes are subject to change.
