Member Categories & Qualifications

To become a member of NSSEA, all companies must provide proof of being an established business within the education market. Companies that are involved in the production and sale of products and supplies found in school market are eligible for membership. Schools, firms, corporations or individuals affiliated with schools are not considered to be engaged in the business of manufacturing, publishing, servicing, or distributing school equipment, supplies or instructional materials are not eligible for membership.

Choose the membership category that's right for you.

• Dealer Members: Companies who sell educational products to consumers through retail stores, catalogs, mail order, online, distributors, and direct sales. Dealer Membership Application.

• Suppliers Members: Companies of educational items including manufacturers, publishers, importers, and wholesalers who market to consumers through a network of dealers. Supplier Membership Application.

• Service Provider Members: Consultants, mail list brokers, trade publishers, printers, catalog producers, inventory/POS systems, OEM, retail fixture manufacturers, online service providers, and whole suppliers. Service Provider Membership Application.

• Independent Manufacturers Representative Members: Companies who represent two or more different suppliers in selling products to dealers, with orders being written in the name of the supplier. Independent Manufacturers Rep Membership Application

• Honorary Members: Individuals now no longer active in the industry, who during their connection with the Association, performed some noteworthy act or distinguished service to the Association, and who are elected by unanimous vote by the Executive Committee. • Lifetime Members: Board Chairs, upon completion of their term, will be designated as Lifetime Members, and will receive full free attendance privileges at all conventions and meetings. Further, having served through the Chairs they will be ineligible for future Executive Committee service. Contact Karen Prince to learn more about this special membership category.
